devastation. and it is very sad, especially this time of year. it was an elderly lady who lived there with her son, she worked and she had 24-hour nursing care. >> i have always been afraid something like this would happen because we are so connected. >> she lives a couple townhomes down and considers herself lucky. the fire traveled quickly forcing residents from two other townhomes out. she says what happened here is a wake-up call to make sure that your smoke detectors work. >> it is something i will take more seriously now. quickly forcing residents from two>> there was another fire in greenbelt earlier this week. wednesday, fire ripped through this apartment complex, forcing two dozen families to find another place to live. one person jumped to safety, but is ok. >> funeral services for a man shot and killed on capitol hill in arlington this morning.

he was killed early monday morning as he sat in his car just a few blocks from his rowhouse. he grew up in arlington and had just moved to capitol hill. yesterday, the d.c. police released surveillance tape of two men they want to question in connection with the death. >> we now know the identity of a man found dead in a minivan in vienna. fairfax county police say the driver was a 19-year-old from manassas. investigators say the van crashed into a barrier at the end of chain bridge road at about 7:00 last night. the police are investigating the death as a homicide. >> a missing university of maryland student has been found dead after disappearing 10 days ago. officers found his body inside of his car parked in a lot in bowie./ investigators believe he took his own life. they say he had not spoken to family or friend since december 19. >> just three days until the so-

punishment for six people arrested in the attack. the woman and a male companion were insulted on a bus. the woman had severe organ failure from the injuries to her body and brain. >> an arrest and charges against a woman who pushed a subway passenger to his death in queens. she is charged with murder as a hate crime. investigators say the man was pushed in front of the subway train thursday night. the police released this sketch thursday night and said the tip led to our rest -- her arrest. >> a connecticut lawyer wants to sue the state for $100 million on behalf of the six-rolled survivor. -- a 6-year-old survivor. >> since the tragedy many police departments have been holding a gun buybacks. while the idea is not new, sons
